Decluttering before you sell means that you only move what you really need – and you will not only save money by doing so, but you will also save time in the new house by not having to unpack and deal with all that stuff in the future. Your current home works for you – without really having to think about things anymore. You have the right flooring, furniture, window dressings etc. that fit your lifestyle. However, when you move you may have agreed to leave certain things in the house such as curtains, freezer etc… As such, it’s worth making a list of these things, remembering to leave them behind and not pack them (put a sticker on things that the removals company shouldn’t touch to be safe).
